    Bromodomain Proteins

    Bromodomains recognize acetylated lysine residues on histone (and non-histone) target proteins, enabling the recruitment of specific protein complexes to regions of acetylated chromatin. Acetyl PTMs are correlated with increased transcription, and many bromodomain proteins are involved in transcriptional activation and opening of chromatin structure. EpiCypher offers a suite of GST-tagged recombinant bromodomains, useful for determining substrate recognition and for use in acetyl-lysine binding experiments.
