Scientific conferences provide a great place for scientists to network, share research, and stay up to date in the epigenetics field. The following list describes the epigenetics conferences we’re looking forward to in the first half of 2024. If you’re looking for more, check out our full list of conferences here.

  1. Epigenetic Mechanisms and Cancer Treatment

    Keystone Symposia

    Dates: February 4 – February 7, 2024

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States

    Keynote Speaker: Cigall Kadoch

Organizers: Marisa Bartolomei, Tony Kouzarides, and Rab Prinjha

This Keystone meeting will focus on the latest advances in cancer epigenetics. Attendees can expect unique opportunities to engage with academia and industry throughout the conference. Workshops designed for early-career scientists will also be available. The abstract deadlines have passed, but we look forward to attending – hope to see you there!

  2. Chromatin Structure and Function

    Gordon Research Conference (GRC)

    Dates: July 7 – July 12, 2024

Location: Smithfield, Rhode Island, United States

Chair and Vice Chair: Geeta J. Narlikar and Andreas Ladurner

This GRC conference promises a comprehensive update on the latest breakthroughs in epigenetics. Topics will span multiple disciplines, including biochemistry, cell biology, physiology, and chemistry. Ample time will be given for networking between sessions. Applications for this meeting must be submitted by June 9, 2024.

  3. Biological Methylation: Fundamental Mechanisms

Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB)

    Dates: July 28 – August 1, 2024

    Location: Porto, Portugal

Keynote Speakers: Adrian Bird and Mark Dawson

Organizers: Claire Davies, Kai Ge, Brian Strahl, Capucine Van Rechem

Held in the gorgeous city of Porto, Portugal, this conference will bring together scientists from various fields to discuss the regulation of DNA, RNA, and protein methylation. Chromatin methylation mechanisms in disease will be a central topic, as well as novel inhibitors targeting methyltransferases and demethylases. Be sure to catch the talk by EpiCypher’s Chief Scientific Officer, Michael-Christopher Keogh, who will update scientists on our latest chromatin technologies. Additional workshops will provide guidance on professional development and help facilitate connections between early-career scientists and experts. The abstract submission deadline is June 2, 2024.
