HP1β, Recombinant Human, His-Tagged Description: Recombinant human HP1β (CBX1 M31, Heterochromatin protein 1 beta, accession number P83916, amino acids 1 to 184) containing an N-terminal 6xHis tag, expressed in E. coli. HP1β is a component of constitutive (transcriptionally silent) heterochromatin, recruited through the interaction of the chromodomain with histone H3 methylated at lysine 9 (H3K9me3).

HP1β, Recombinant Human, His-Tagged Formulation: Recombinant 6xHis-tagged protein in 20 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.5, 100 mM NaCl, 1 mM DTT, 5% glycerol.

HP1β, Recombinant Human, His-Tagged Storage and Stability: Stable for six months at -80°C from date of receipt. For best results, aliquot and avoid multiple freeze/thaws.
