Closed, nucleosome-wrapped chromatin stays untagmented, so the resulting signal maps enhancers, promoters, and transcription factor footprints genome-wide.

We accept cryopreserved cells, isolated nuclei, and flash-frozen tissue across a wide range of cell and tissue types. We review your specific sample type during the design consult and confirm the right handling before you ship. Yes! We accept flash-frozen tissue samples for ATAC-seq Services. Our team can dissociate tissue and extract nuclei for your ATAC-seq Services project.

Minimum material needed depends on your sample type. For cryopreserved cells or nuclei, target 200,000 per sample. For flash-frozen tissue, 5-10 mg per sample should be sufficient for tissues with high cellularity. If you have any questions on whether your amount of material is sufficient for ATAC-Seq Services, contact us to discuss your project with our experts. ATAC-seq is compatible with low inputs, and we can often adjust the standard workflow to accommodate limited or precious samples.

Every project returns a complete, analysis-ready data package:

  • Raw sequencing reads (FASTQ)
  • Aligned reads (BAM + index)
  • Peak calls (narrowPeak and bigWig)
  • An assay QC report (HTML/PDF) covering TSS enrichment, FRiP, fragment-size distribution, duplication rate, and mitochondrial read percentage
