PRMT7 (protein arginine methyltransferase 7, accession Q9NVM4) is a type III argininine methyltransferase, an enzyme that catalyzes the formation of mono-methylarginine. PRMT7 monomethylates Sm ribonucleoproteins and promotes the assembly of snRNP particles. PRMT7 also monomethylates histone H4R3 and represses gene expression, including antagonizing MLL4-mediated transcriptional activation.

Western Blot Data: Western blot using PRMT7 Antibody (1:500 dilution) on whole cell extract derived from HeLa cells (HeLa) or from mouse embryonic fibroblast (MEFs). The band corresponding to PRMT7 is indicated (arrow).
