This meeting brings together academic and industry scientists to discuss the latest findings in the field. Talks will cover a broad range of epigenetics and chromatin biology topics, ranging from basic molecular mechanisms to therapeutic efforts. In addition, there will be discussions around the elucidation of novel mechanisms, new tools, and other breaking topics in epigenetics and chromatin research.

Many talks will be selected from submitted abstracts.

Abstract Deadline: October 15, 2020
Abstracts can be submitted at the time of registration for the conference. All abstract submissions are welcomed to present a poster. You may also designate if would like to be considered for a talk. Many talks will be chosen from the submitted abstracts across all career levels (from graduate students and postdocs to new and established investigators). Talks will be selected, and speakers notified on a rolling basis.

Keynote Speakers - Kristian Helin, PhD Steven Henikoff, PhD

Dr. Helin is Director of the Center for Epigenetics Research at Memorial Sloan Kettering and the Chair of the Cell Biology Program at the Sloan Kettering Institute.

Dr. Henikoff is a Member of the Division of Basic Sciences at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and an Investigator with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

Visa / Passport Requirements: Travelers to Mexico are required to have a valid passport. Mexico does not require a visa for travel of citizens from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, Japan or the European Schengen Agreement countires. Citizens from other countries may require travel visas. You will be expected to briefly present your passport upon arrival to the airport as well as at the resort.

Travel Awards: Several travel awards of $500 will be available. You will need to be registered for the conference and be a student or postdoc to qualify.

TRANSPORTATION FROM/TO THE AIRPORT
Cancun International Airport (CUN) is the closest airport to the Meliá Paradisus Playa del Carmen Resort. If you arrive on Sunday, November 8th and depart on Friday, November 13th, a private shuttle will be available to transport you and your guests.

Weather
On any given day during November along the Mayan Riviera, you can expect early morning temperatures to be around 73° F (23° C). Temperatures in Playa del Carmen typically rise during the day, to an average of 85° F (30° C) in the early afternoon. By early evening, temperatures generally decline to around 75° F (24° C). In November, the chance of rain is around 15%.
