Duties:

  • Work closely with technical and business staff in developing / transforming ideas into SBIR / STTR (and other) grant proposals that support EpiCypher’s innovative product development strategy.
  • Draft high-quality written grant applications; translate scientific abstracts into lay terms.
  • Manages deadlines / deliverables and keeps all involved parties on schedule.
  • Project management of proof-of-concept studies.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up to date knowledge of platform technological advances and particular market areas involved in identifying and soliciting grants.
  • Assist with maintenance of databases and/or reference libraries.
  • Assist with pre- and post-award documentation for grant supported research.
  • Assist with assembling scientific and marketing documents as necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in biology, biochemistry, other life science, or relevant background. Postdoctoral fellows with grant writing experience and strong background in chromatin biology or genomics is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-year scientific writing experience, preferably in a healthcare / research / academic environment.
  • Proven experience writing grants, including NIH (e.g. R43, R44, R21, R01, F32, etc.) or DoD proposals.

Duties:

  • Candidate’s primary responsibility will be providing customer-facing technical sales support to drive growth of EpiCypher’s diverse catalog products and services.
  • Demonstrate technical credibility in consultations with customers on technical support questions, product applications and service project/assay designs.
  • Act as a technical liaison between external customers, KOLs, collaborators, partners and internal R&D, services and manufacturing teams.
  • Develop and present product training presentations for customers and global distributors.
  • Deliver technical talks highlighting key value propositions in person, through webinars, video posts and at conferences and tradeshows.
  • Work with product management, R&D, marketing and field sales to develop and execute sales strategy and tactics.
  • Partner closely with Sales Executives to generate, qualify, quote and close sales opportunities.
  • Additional technical sales and support-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry or a related field with two or more years post-graduate research. Candidates with experience or knowledge of chromatin biology and epigenetics will be strongly considered. Prior employment in a commercial sales setting preferred but not essential.
  • Prior employment in a commercial science setting strongly preferred.
  • Solid scientific background (including a strong conceptual understanding of epigenetics) and the ability to rapidly gain working knowledge in new fields. Proven track record with ChIP - NGS (or comparable genomic technologies) is huge plus.
