Recombinant BPTF Bromodomain Description: Recombinant human BPTF (FAC1, FALZ, accession number Q12830, amino acids 2925 to 3046) containing an N-terminal GST tag, expressed in E. coli. BPTF is a component of the NURF, a protein complex which catalyzes nucleosome sliding and facilitates transcription on chromatin templates. BPTF also contains two PHD domains that mediate recognition of histone H3 Lys4 trimethyl (H3K4Me3), which marks the transcriptional start site of virtually every active genes.
Recombinant BPTF Bromodomain Formulation: Recombinant GST-tagged protein at 1 mg/ml in 20 mM Tris-HCl pH 8.0, 200 mM NaCl, 1 mM DTT, 20% glycerol.
Storage and Stability: Stable for six months at -80°C from date of receipt. For best results, aliquot and avoid multiple freeze/thaws.
Application Notes: Recombinant BPTF Bromodomain is useful for protein binding and screening experiments examining acetylated protein substrates.
