Antibodies for use in the study of lysine methylation. Lysine methylation is an important post-translational modification present on histone and non-histone proteins, and is involved in the regulation of transcription, the DNA damage response, and other important cellular pathways. Lysine methylation is catalyzed by the SET-domain and PR-domain family of lysine methyltransferase enzymes, (PKMTs), and lysine methylation is removed by lysine demethylases enzymes (PKDMs). The mis-regulation of lysine methylation is central to the development of a variety of cancers.
