Recombinant L3MBTL1 3xMBT Domain Description: Recombinant human L3MBTL1 (LMBL1, KIAA0681, L3MBT, L3MBTL, accession Q9Y468, amino acids 190 to 530) containing an N-terminal GST tag, expressed in E. coli. L3MBTL1 3xMBT contains the three MBT repeat domains present in the protein. L3MBTL1 is a member of the Polycomb group of proteins and binds to broad range of proteins that exhibit mono- and dimethylation, including histone H1, histone H4, p53 and Rb. The truncated version of L3MBTL1 present in the 3xMBT domain protein serves as a useful tool for the detection of mono- and dimethylation of a wide variety of proteins.
