HP1β Chromodomain, Recombinant Human Description: Recombinant human HP1β (CBX1, M31, Heterochromatin protein 1 beta, accession P83916, amino acids 1-185) containing an N-terminal GST tag, expressed in E. coli. HP1β is a component of constitutive (transcriptionally silent) heterochromatin, recruited through the interaction of the Chromodomain with histone H3 methylated at lysing 9 (H3K9me).
HP1β Chromodomain, Recombinant Human Formulation: Recombinant GST-tagged protein at 1 mg/ml in 50 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.0, 300 mM NaCl, 1 mM DTT, 10% glycerol.
HP1β Chromodomain, Recombinant Human Storage and Stability: Stable for six months at -80°C from date of receipt. For best results, aliquot and avoid multiple freeze/thaws.
