Recombinant Bromodomain Proteins

Bromodomain proteins are key mediators of signal transduction, recognizing acetylated lysine residues on histone and non-histone target proteins. Recognition of acetylated histones by bromodomain-containing “effector” proteins allows the recruitment of specific protein complexes to regions of acetylated chromatin. As acetylation of chromatin is correlated with higher levels of transcription, many bromodomain proteins are involved in transcriptional activation and the opening of chromatin structure. Recombinant bromodomain proteins are useful for determining substrate recognition and for use in acetyl-lysine binding experiments.

EpiCypher bromodomains are highly purified and GST-tagged. We are constantly in the process of adding new products. If you dont see what you are looking for, come back in a few days or inquire at info@epicypher.com.
